I'm trying to program the prontoPro (first one for me) for a conference room. I would like to have it so that the user can push a button that says presentation, and the following things happen:

1)tv switches to "PC" input mode. the tv is a Panasonic 50" plasma with 3 input modes. I don't suppose there's a way to have it so it always ends up in the right spot, regardless of where it starts? for example if it's on the "S-Video" input mode, it needs to send the input signal 2 times. If it's on the "Composite" mode, it only needs one, and if it's already on the "PC" mode, it doesn't need to do it at all. If these were three different buttons on the tv remote, this would be easy. Since it's one button that cycles, i'm thinking this is impossible. Am I wrong?

2)Set the volume to a predetermined level. I'm guessing this isn't possible either. similar to the situation in the previous example, the Pronto doesn't know where it's at and therefore can't make accurate relative adjustments. is there another way?

3)Switch the audio reciever to the right input mode. This one I think I can handle.

1) don't know much about the Pany, but have you tried the file section? some devices have what are known as "discrete codes" these are codes that instead of toggling from one function to the next, they bring you to a fixed mode.

2) I don't know of any TV that has that, but what some users have done is send many Vol- commands (enough to 0 the volume, and then a few (as many as needed for the desired level vol+.

1) What should I look for in the file section? I'm new here. :-)

2)I thought of that. I wonder how long that would take.

just noticed in 3 you talk about audio receivers? do you have one? If yes some have presets you set for volume.

Randy (or Rick) has given you a direct link, but if you click on the word file at the top of this web site you will link to the file section, there are a lot of goodies in there and worth looking through.

yeah everyone said that same thing that I am about to say. Just click on the "file" link above And look threw the different files. There is also one where you can go to the discret code section. Instead of going threw many different files. But if you dont have the opition of using the pc and the tv, receiver at the same time. I would program as much as you can into the remote. And name them 1 2 3 4 and so on. To see which one works the best. Once you see which one works the best. Just make a note of it. So when you take the remote back home You can program it with that one only.
Also, about the volume control. I personaly wouldn't do it. Because what if you have someone using it who "really" doesn't know what their doing. I mean if they push that button and wondering why "it's not doing anything" They might push another button or whatever. And then that's where their gonna run into problems. Like the configureation file might corrupt. It has happen to me. But not since the firmware update. But I haven't really tried to make if fail since then anyways. But make sure you have an updated firmware as well.
Hope this all helps in someway.

Some receivers work with "MUTE" and than "vol+" several times. I am not sure for Denon, but I had such case with some very old Sony. I think it was Sony, not sure...
