Hello all,
As a newbie to a RAV 2000 remote, this appears to be the best place to learn all about it. It amazes me what you folks have been able to do. I've read much of the advice and will heed it (read the RAVedit manual, the FAQ's, etc.)but I'd like some clarification please. As I understand it, I can download CCF files into the RAVedit software, determine if it is what I want prior to downloading it into the remote. I could also back up the current software in the remote prior to making any changes. Are those two statements correct? Thanks for any replies. I'm looking forward to learning from your collective knowledge and expertise.

yes you are correct. when you dowload or upload it is the complete configuration you are transferring. The editor also comes with an emulator. It is a good way to try out a configuration (from a user interface point of view) before downloading
