Would any body out there would know how to get to the IR sensor on a Sony HDTV model KP-57XBR10W. It seems to be just right behind the pannel where the Sony logo is. I just can not get the pannel out to place the IR emitter that I wil connect to a RF Extender

The IR sensor is in the "O" of SONY. I'm guessing you are making a frame around the screen. The last project I did, I just stuck an emitter on the "O" and it worked fine. The frame covered the emitter and the SONY logo.

Yes, I was able to see the IR receiver. How do you remove the grey pannel?

Usually, I open the TV and glue IR emitter on the IR receiver (using glue-gun). Painfull job, but it works great. It makes customers happier!
