The new 1600 has a progressive scan toggle button. Progressive is either on or off and S-video/composite is completely off when progressive is on. If a user is trying to feed multiple video sources, this is not the product for them.

How is the PQ on the 1600? I have seen very positive posts on PQ. I also heard it is a rebadged Panny.

I think it looks great. I have it hooked up to the Sharpvision DLP and I tried it both ways: S-video using the Sharps internal line doubler and Component using the Denons internal Farjouda (sp?) processor and the Denon was very good. For the money, it's hard to pass up. A+!
