I am trying to connect a RF Extender directly to a Sony TV through the Control-s port on the back of the TV.

I believed that electrically this is not a problem, however it seems that the control-s codes are not the same as the IR ones, something else has to be added; I have read that a control-s code for a pre-programmed IR would be something like: 0x81 0xNN 0x01 ..... 0xFF.

The 0x81 would mean a command to the unit, the 0xNN is the total lenght of the sequence and the 0x01 means that a preset IR follows, the 0xFF would signal the end of the sequence.

Can any body suggest how to incorporate this into the IR already learned and store in the ProntoPro?

Thanks for your reply, I do know about this product, it is just too expensive (I believe $240) for the task.
