My Bell ExpressVu PVR needs two clicks on the pronto to perform a command. I can't figure out why.

This only happens with this device. I have checked the IR code. It seems clean. I have direct line of sight.

I dunno. Ideas? Suggestions?

i have found some cable and satellite boxes tend to go to sleep when they haven't received a command for a while. do you have to give it duplicate commands all the time or just the first time you go to access it's features?

I had the same problem with newer Dish Network receivers (which, if I'm not mistaken are made by the same manufacturer).

Try re-learning the codes, or try codes from this site.

I've found when learning these codes, a short duration push of the original remote, is what did the trick.

Is this a toggle code?
Sends command a, then b, then a.

As you have only captured a it works 1 in 2.
Try learning twice in sucessiong to different buttons and pressing them alternately.

Bruce.
