Hello all, my first question as a new Marantz TS5000/02 owner :-)
I'm making an serial cable and look at

but is DB9 from the back of front?

view of the side that connects to PC. All the connectors I have seen have the holes numbered (on the PC side)

Thanks for your reply.
After some hours I finally solved the puzzle :-)
The DB connector have different numbers on both sides and that confused me, as well as what cable is RD and TD. Here is what I did in case someelse later needs to make an cable and needs an explanation to

I used an DB9 with screw termination and 3,5mm (yes Europe. :-))to phono cable. Cut of the phonopins and you got one common cable and a white and red.
GND is the unshield common cable, on the front of my DB9 its marked 5, but on the back 1.
The white cable, RD, on the front 2, back 4
Red, TD, front and back 3.

Thats it, hope you understand my english :-)
