I have had a Marantz rc9200 for about 3 weeks now and after a full charge the battery only lasts 2 days. Please can you tell me if this is normal and how long the battery should last.I phoned the shop I got the remote from and they said I should condition the battery for a week but that hasnt helped. Please help as if the control is faulty it will have to go back very soon.

It really depends on how much you use the remote. If you're watching a DVD and paging through a lot of the "extra" material, you can drain the battery pretty fast. The backlight also sucks juice at a good rate - try setting the backlight time to 20 seconds or less. Having said this, 2 days seems really short unless you're glued to the tube most of the day.

Similar experience for me. I get about 3 days from an overnight charge. I have the backlight time set to 30 seconds, 100% brightness, and give it pretty heavy use each day.
