I bought two ProntoPros. Love the concept. Both have locked up on me. One died trying to fix the problem discusserd below during an update to the firmware. Getting it RMA through BlueDo.
The other accepted the new firmware that comes with ProntoEdit 4.0. Uploaded a ccf file just fine and it was working. However after a few hours, the screen won't wakeup and no hard keys work either. Pulling the battery and putting it back on will allow it to work again most of the time.
I have read and searched the forum, but the other 'black screens of death' don't seem the same as mine. Also, I have had this problem with two different ProntoPros? I have tried re-uploading the firmware. Does it really take a couple of tries to get a good load?
Any ideas. I am a Crestron home automation programmer by trade and feel I am fairly knowledgeable. However, this is kicking my butt!
I'm running ProntoEdit 4.03 on Windows XP.
Thanks in advance. Hope to hang out here quite a bit.
Andrew

I have the TSU-2000 and I am having problems with downloading ccfs to it. Unless I save it and then open ProntoEdit V2 then download it from there. If you have V2 try that. With both the firmware and downloading ccfs. Also you can always do the firmware update with OUT opening it threw the ProntoEdit V4 or V2. Hopefully this helps. Also if you can try using a different windows. I know of past things with V2 but not sure with V4. Since I have win 98 King of typos

Update:
Eventually it locked up completely and I had to send it back to Philips who promptly replaced it with one that doesn't lockup anymore.
