When I recently took my Pronto apart, a little black piece fell out. I think it may go in the bottom (NOT the back) of the Pronto. So, could ANYONE with a TSU2000 tell me if they can actually see into the inside of the Pronto thru the little hole in the bottom (just below the Philips label on the front), or if it's plugged with a little black piece. Thanks!

Patrick,
are talking about the IR learning eye? That's the only little hole I found on the front of the Pronto? Because this is indeed plugged with a (very dark red) little piece.

Well, yes, it's the learning eye, but it's not on the front, it's on the bottom of the remote.

Hey,

I took mine apart, and just like you that little piece came out. It drove me mad until I figured out that it was, in fact, the cover for the learning eye on the bottom of the remote.

there are other small pieces (the reset button, I think, and the transmitting eye, which isn't that small, though) that can fall out.

If it's a small black piece of plastic, then it's the learning eye...

Isn't the learning eye supposed to be see-thru though? My little black piece is not.

only for IR. It may look opaque to visible light, but will pass IR wavelengths.
