Hi everyone,
I'm planning on purchasing a Pronto-type remote and am leaning towards either the RC5200 or I may splurge for the RC9200. One of the reasons I want the Marantz is for the RF capability (I know this costs extra for the RC5200). What I'm wondering though is how good is the RF range on these remotes? I currently have a One For All Home Producer 8 that has RF that works reasonably well. It works from any room in my house but sometimes I have to move it around a bit to get it to work. It also doesn't really work at all from my patio which is disappointing. I'm hoping the RCx200's range is at least as good, hopefully even better.
For others with these remotes how good have you found the range to be?
Thanks, Jason

It really depends on the equipment being controlled, and the installation/placement of the RF unit.
There codes from some devices like Parasound, that don't translate well into RF and then back to IR. It's really a matter experimentation.
