I got a ProntoPro and have been playing around with other people's CCF's in Prontoedit - developers' version. (I can't connect the ProntoPro until I figure out how to tell my wife)
When I select a button, right click and go to properties and try to change colors, I can only change the color of the text - not the button itself.
What am I doing wrong?

Dearest Lovebaby,
Sorry, just had to start it that way....
You are not doing anything wrong.
I am going to guess that your problem is not with buttons that people have created from scratch, but with buttons that are actual bitmaps. You can make buttons "from scratch" by using "Add Button" (Alt+K) in ProntoEdit, but they have no cool shading or borders or anything - just the background color and the text color. Period.
The bitmaps are made in another program with particular shades of gray, so you can't change them with the ProntoEdit commands. I suppose you could learn how to use Paint and change them, but that is a totally naive guess -- I have never done that myself.

A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything. "The biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place." -- G. “Bernie” Shaw |
