Do you lose all of your IR info everytime you make changes to a ccf with PE? If so, is there a way to guard against this? I just bought a TS1000 and I have gotten all of my components working except my receiver (Sony STR-DE945). Today I found a ccf that had an interface for my receiver that I like, so I want to add it to my ccf. I don't want to have to "teach" my Pronto all of my IR codes again however.
Thanks,

Jarhead

Jarhead, I think the best way would be to open your cce if PE, then drop the ccf with the receiver info you want into it. PE will ask you if you want to merge or replace the current ccf. Click merge and whatever devices/panels that were in the new ccf will be merged into your old. Then you can make any changes you want to it and still retain any original info. You may want to strip the ccf you just found down to only the device you want to import/merge.

Merrill,
Thanks for your help. I figured out how to merge the two. Now it asks me if I want to replace the file on my TS1000 and I am wondering if I will lose the IR commands that I have taught the Pronto. It is not that difficult to go through the process of setting up all of the buttons again (I will have to do it for the receiver anyway), but if I have to do it every time I want to change something in my configuration that will surely keep me from being adventurous down the road. :)
Thanks,

Jarhead

jarhead: did you upload the CCF from the Pronto to your PC?

A CCF contains all the info. Every time you DL to the Pronto it overwrites the existing file.

I did, but it does not show me any of the IR information. I also made a backup copy. I just want to make sure that when I add the receiver interface that I don't lose all of my codes.
Thanks,

Jarhead

Thanks for your help Anthony! I have spent the last two hours programming Sony IR codes into my Pronto for my receiver...now lets hope they work when I get home (I brought it to work w/ me, I work in Home Automation/Structured Wire).
