Hi All,

I got a question which to an experienced pronto user must be quite easy. I got the Pronto RU940 and a philips 32PW9763D TV. I want to find the codes to switch the input of the TV between the various SCART inputs at the back. I could do this using a macro, by switching the TV for instance to channel 1 and then calling the blue button, then calling the UP button the number of times I want depending to which input I want to switch to. This doest look very nice because if I want to switch from VCR input to DVD input, BBC-1 will pop-up in-between.

The question is this.. is there a way (code) that I can send to the TV and make it switch to the specific input directly??? just like when you send the code for channel 1 - it goes to channel 1.

Thanks for all your help
Chris

what codes do you have in your Pronto? learnt or RC5 (does the IR HEX start with 5000)? I looked in the 970's UDB and noticed that on some of the TV codes (most) there is an external 1, 2, 3 code. And on all of them there was a 13, 14, 15. So if you can find out what RC5 codes the TV uses (device code) then you can try 19,20,21 for the button code for the device (I am assuming 13,14,15 is HEX = 19,20,21 in decimal)

Hi Anthony,
Thanks for your help. To answer your question - I havent got a clue. I have just bought the pronto 4 days ago and have done little programming. I tried to find what an RC5 or RC4 code is and did some reading.. anyway.. at the moment it works with macros by switching to channel 1 and then sending the codes from there..

in any case I'll try and find out what you pointed me at and hope it works..

thanks again

How about this: In PE V4 dblclk a button (to get to the button properties) then press set IR pick TV, Philips, EU. in the list you will find AUX1 and AUX2. Did you give them a try. Did you look at the rest of the commands?
