I have got a 5000i second hand hopefully under warranty. The screen display appears to be quite dark, I have tried adjusting the contrast but during the day is quite difficult to see. Even the backlight dosent appear to help what there is of it. You only really notice it if all the lights are off and its pitch dark. Its not all that bright either noticed a slight buzz when you put the backlight on too. I was led the believe that the display was really good and the backilight more than compensated for any problems. Can any one help ???

The buzz is normal.
The visibility of the back light does depend on the light in the room. In a fully lighted room, the backlight is not visible, but you should be able to notice it in a room with a bit of light in it.
The contrast on the screen should go from gray (the color of a blanc screen to black.
