Hey, All! I've been lurking for some time now. Finally decided to post a question and see what I get back. I have all my panels hidden for a device. The panel on top of the list only shows when I go to that device via a jump from the home panel. If I select that device from the device menu, it takes me to the last active panel. Is there a way to force a jump to a specific panel (or top panel) from the devices menu?

It always goes to the last panel visited in that device.
Many of us never use the device menu, and do everything from jumps from buttons on other panels. You have more control that way. For example, when using the device menu you canot specify an action to be executed when leaving a device - such as turning it off.

Do you still have the device menu present? Right now I have different devices so that I can use the hard buttons for different things. I did my original programming for each device from the IRDB or learning, then created new panels in the device with aliases. Then I hid all the panels. Still have some planning to do for some devices. It seems that having the home panels with a macro/jump combo to setup and goto a device works best. The hurdle I had was dealing with the device menu.

Frank, The device menu, or for that matter, the macro menu, can only be disabled in the Marantz versions. There are some ways to disguise the listings on the device menu however. You can name your devices with spaces so no text shows - one person put all his panels under home resulting in no devices to list. Jim L

that slows down your use when you do that because it clears the screen everytime. i like to put a space in for the device neme and under properties send the jump to the last real device so that it can not be accessed. if you have seen my ccf the last jump is very important because i do not want access to my last "device" they are all hidden panels

nnatic1211, That's an interesting idea. If I set the Jump Action on the device properties, does that run when I select a device from the menus? If so, then I think that does what I need. I want a specific panel to come up when you select a device from the list. Or, does that jump only work if the device has not been navigated to?

does that run when I select a device from the menus Yes the only time it does not work, is if you did not pick the device from the menu list. (i.e. if you are on the home screen, and you press the device button it will go to the last panel of the last device.)

Also if you want specific panels in that "Device" just set up jumps from buttons on other panels

Anthony, I got it working! I am able to jump to a specific panel from the device list! What you have to do is: 1) goto properties on the device. 2) set the jump location to the panel you ALWAYS want to start with on that device. 3) if there is no action, set a delay of .1.
Without the delay, it won't work. It simply goes to the last active panel in that device.
Thanks for the help everyone. I'll have to post my CCF when I get it all done. It was built off Lain's V5, with popup windows.
