I have just purchased an RC9200 in he US and brought it pack to Europe with me. I already own an original Pronto. I have the following problems which I hope someone can help me with:

1. It freezes up whenever I try to use a non-default configuration. It downloads OK, but crashes whenever I try to go to a macroscreen. The main screen area goes blank. This does not happen in the emulator. Why?

2. Does it have a reset button? My pronto does, but nowhave to take the battery out (and that's not easy)

3. Is it possible to merge other button etc. into the gallery file? I keep getting the message that the file is read only, on the old Pronto this was no problem.

4. Is it possibe to have a smaller text size on buttons, frames etc than 10? Have 8 on my Pronto.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read this. I hope someone can help, I feel lost here!

1) found this on an other thread
After download to the remote, BEFORE anything else, press the "Macro" menu at the top. Then press the "Home" key.

This seems to take care of the problem.

4) yes, use [Link: remotecentral.com]
to enable them.

Anthony's response to #1 is right on the money, as always ;-). It's a big bug with the X200 remotes.

As far as #2 is concerned, it's under the battery cover, a small round circle in the lower right hand corner.

Thank you all very much! As for # 2 - great, hope the answer to # 1 means I will not need it anymore....

Thanks also for the link to Daniel "fix kit".

That only leaves the question of mergeable galleries, and a new one:

5. None of my hard buttons light up, why?

I don't know about Marantz, but on the Pronto only the side buttons light up, and you can turn that off in the setup menu

The gallery is marked read only. Simply make it read/write.

1) in more detail: locate the file Gallery.ccf (which is in directory where Touch Screen Setup was installed i.e. C:\Program Files\Touch Screen Setup\RC9200); then right click on the file name or icon

Thanks you guys, I manged it and it works! What remains now is the work of going through every colour .ccf to "steal" the good buttons!

Meanwhile, is there anyway I can find and use my peculiar Scandinavian characters (i.e. special versions of letter combinations aa, ae and oe)? Used to be able to do this on my Pronto, but I lost the ability when I upgraded ProntoEdit. Would very much be able to find it again!

There are color galleries in the files area that you can download. Someone has done the work of combining everthing in a single gallery.
