I am fed up with the bugs and limitations (no Win XP?) of Marantz' Touch Screen Setup 1.0.14. Can I use Philips' software on my RC 9200? Other than the spftware, the RC 9200 is a great RC.
Thanks,
Angel

Not really, since ProntoEdit doesn't support the 9200's editable screen size. You'll also miss out on other Marantz specific features.

Touch Screen Setup runs fine on Win XP. What problems do you have?

So far, my main problem has been with my Win 98se system hanging up due to "lack of memory" (I have 512 MB RAM!!!). This happens about 80% of the times when I try to download a new configuration to my RC9200. Other problem I'm facing is that on the Device list that pops up when pressing the Device list button, top right corner of the screen, I can only see the first six devices that I have programmed in my configuration (I currently have 13 devices). On the RC5200 I had before, all the devices were accessible from this button instead of having to go Home. About Win XP, I am going to upgrade, but the Marantz web site states that the program is not compatible with XP. I'm glad it is!!!
Thanks,
Angel

Marantz just hasn't got around to saying that it works with XP. (But don't try to learn codes directly from the editor - that usually does not work on NT/2000/XP)

Maybe the devices you are not seeing are marked as Template devices.

When Win95/98 has a "lack of memory", it often refers to GDI memory (used for graphics drawing) which is capped at something like 64kb, and has nothing to do with total memory.
