Is there any way of finding out exactly why uploading to the PC has failed? I can download *any* CCF file to the pronto and it works fine, but if I try to upload I always get "Error uploading configuration from RC device".

The pronto (940) is active, only 90% of memory is in use.

I've also tried resetting, changing the batteries. In desperation I was going to revert to the orignal configuration but the Revert button is disabled (!)

Anyone know how to do a full reset, or how long the config is retained without batteries?

The Revert button is disabled until you make any change directly on your Pronto. [The rationale is why revert if you haven't made changes; except that the CCF you revert to is usually the factory default, not your downloaded CCF].

Which version of ProntoEdit are you using? You should try both PE1.05 and PE4.

cute reply and point taken about the faq, but the revert issue was more of an aside.

the main problem with uploading was resolved by reflashing the pronto

thx all the same
