I really like the PRonto TSU2000, but I cannot get it to funtion with the New KP51HW40 Sony TV or the slightly Used DE835 Receiver. I have tried all the Sony codes in the remote and then I did the cut and paste in PRontoEdit with the Sony discretes I found on the website. Nothing works. I have no trouble with the Proscan VCR and Panasonic DVD. All of the Sony remotes work great, so I tried learning the sony remote codes into the Pronto, and again another failure. Do I have to break down and get the Sony 3000 remote (yuk)?
BTH, I have tried a friends TSU2000 (same as mine) with no luck. Anyone with answers with receive the Pronto person of the day award!

I am at a loss to understand this I have a KP57HW40 that I am controlling with a TSU2000 and all of my Sony codes work fine both what I learned from the remote and the discretes that I D/L from here. It has to be something you did incorrectly. If you learned the codes through PE try doing it directly from the Sony remote to the Pronto instead and see if that helps.

Tom

P.S. If you would like a copy of my CCF to fool with send me your email address and i will mail it to you

Thanks b00bie, I was learning it in with the Pronto connected to my laptop and running PE. The Program has always worked for me in the past, and I was able to learn the panasonic rp56 codes at the same time. I have never learned codes in directly without PE, because the program has always worked well for me when I changed equipment. I am looking to get a Replay soon and I really want to be able to use the Pronto. I really would like to try your ccf file. If you are able to send it this morning, I will try it this afternoon, when I am done with work. [email protected]

Yes! The CCF worked the Television. Now to figure out what is wrong with my setup of the codes and learning......
Thanks Tom, you got me 1/2 way there. Now I need to get a CCF for a DE835. I will then spend the day merging the ccf with mine and getting everyhting to do what it is supposed to.

For all Sony IR codes, just have a look at [Link: perso.be]

Thanks to everyone who sent me a CCF and to Pinhead for the helpful link. I know that this forum and the people who frequent here are the reason the Pronto is successful. Without all of you the unit would be another SUR.
I am going to try out the codes this weekend while I am at home. I hope to find out why the existing code database and the learn function was not working.
