The download link on your page returns a "this document contains no data" error message ...

Just checked again and received the same error. Tried Internet Explorer (I was using Netscape) and it worked just fine.

Never Mind! :-)

I bet if you put a counter on your website, you'd find out that tons of people downloaded your spreadsheet!

- device 7 (VCR)
- device 12 (Receiver)
- device 57 (CD)
- device 81 (CD)
- device 89 (Tuner)
- device 119 (TV)
- device 180 (VCR)
- device 1370 (Projector)
- device 3130 (MD)
- device 3162 (DVD)
- device 4279 (DSS)

Thanks in advance,

Hey Pinhead,

Thought your idea is very good.
However you still don't seem to have what I'm looking for.
I recently bought the MDS-JB940QS MD-player. I'm looking for the discrete codes for the Input selector, if they exist... Would you be able to come up with them. I'd be happy to test them for you.

Hi Tophe !

What do you mean by "input selector" ? As a matter of fact, are you looking for "A", "B", "C", "!", ... the complete character set ?

Leuven.

No, on my previous MD-player I had to select the inputs (Analog, Optical, Coaxial) manually.
This one has the possibility to do it via the remote with the 'Input' button for Optical1, Optical2, Analog & Coaxial through a cycle.
I'm looking for discrete codes to select them directly...

Please send me or post here the IR code for input selection (throught a cycle). Then, I'll try to find out the device code of your MD-Player and I'll generate the all IR code set of the device.

This may be a stupid question but...

I don't know what device ## is. I may be able to help, I have a lot of Sony stuff here but I don't know exactly what you are missing. I know which codes (from your set) are working on my models but I don't know how that relates to the device ##s. I made guesses in my selections based on my dirty learned codes matching your clean ones.

Steve.

It's device number 15, I think it's indicated in the Tab name isn't it?

Pinhead, forgive me if this is off subject, but I think there is at least an "overlap". I have a collection of mid- to high-end Sony Beta VCR's (I love those things!) and would like to get some IR help with them. I posted this thread last year and did not even get a single response...

[Link: remotecentral.com]

As you probably know, most of the Sony VCR commands for Beta can also be used with Sony VHS machines with selectable device numbers. So these codes could well be useful for many non-Beta Sony VCR users. Anyway, do you have any suggestions about what I am asking in that post?

I do not understand the lingo of your notes here. And I cannot download your program at this time to figure it out, but if you would like to have my ccf with its many Beta VCR labels I will send it to you, whether you can help me or not. You may find some codes in there to help answer your questions. (I only get on the web here about once every week or two now, so it may be awhile before I can respond, though.)
