Hello,
having trouble upgrading from Sys3.6 App.V4.81 (circa 1999) to the most recent Sys_V3.62_APP_V4.85 on a TS1000/01. Get error message: "Could not get information of your boot system"
Help please. Thanks.

I got same response. still researching. Let's be sure to post a fix if either of us find it. Also if this turns out to be a bug we may want to consider letting Philips know. Good Luck, I will keep you posted.

Called Philips hot line and was told this is a new one for them. Suggested changing batteries (did not work) and upgrading progressively to the new version by installing the previous upgrade first. I am still searching for the older upgrade.

Each Pronto edit upgrade (except for V2) came with a firmware update. You need to install PE and then go into tools to update firmware.

MJBolduc, what version firmware do you have? If you have something really old, you may need to install intermediate versions first.

Peter thanks, I checked, which I should have done before I started trying to update, and discovered that I am already @ 3.62 /4.85. Thanks again!

I was having the same problem and wrote to Philips. This came back to me today and it worked! Good luck to all.

Dear Sir / Madam,

Thank you for your enquiry.
At present it is not possible to use Tools, Update firmware.
The firmware can still be updated through File, Open Configuration and load
the
default file into ProntoEdit.
Go again to File, Download to RC and now your firmware has been updated.

What absolute garbage Philips has given you.

That advice is how to restore the default CCF to your Pronto. It has nothing to do with updating the firmware.

I have the same exact problem described here, and yes that is a bunch of bull, the Default transfers fine to my remote, but it does nothing to effect the firmware, im still stuck at Sys 3.4/App 4.6. Gonna try to update incrementally with earlier ProntoEdit..
