I wonder if what I'm trying to do is possible. I created a device in which every button is aliased to the IR codes on a page that is part of the device. I've now copied this device. Ir was my intention to merely change the IR codes on the page that everything is aliased to, but the aliases on the copied device refer back to the original code page on the original device. Is there any way to copy a device so that the aliases travel with the copy instead of referring back to the original codes?

See if I understand the question. You have a device A, which has lets say two pages 1 and 2. 1 has aliases in it to codes in 2. When you copy A to create B, B1 aliases back to A2 instead of to B2. Yes, unfortunately that's how it seems to work. I don't know of any workaround, I wanted the same thing because I wanted my three sat receiver setups to be the same. I just went in and changed all the aliases one at a time.

I figured out the answer and it wasn't too hard. Here's the solution. I made a copy of my .CCF and edited it to delete everything except the device I wanted to copy. Then I renamed the device, which caused all the alias references to change to the renamed device. Next I saved the edited .CCF and closed it. Finally, I reopened my original .CCF and merged the new .CCF into it, and voila! I had two devices, each with the proper aliases. I hope this is a useful tip for others.
