dwill15,

Ok, forgive me if I got this all wrong. You said in your posts, you hook the RC5000i up to the computer via the cable, and you can't edit the remote's screen? You are using the software, yes? You create and edit your ccf in the software, hooking to the remote just lets you download your creation. Sorry if I'm reading you wrong. Maybe Mike will post his help bar in this thread. Do lots of reading on the links.

Maybe it's just terminology, but when you "upload" you're transferring FROM the remote TO the computer. If this is really what you're really doing, you are just uploading what's on the remote into PE. You should be "downloading" what you created/edited in the software into your remote.

If you're only talking about the opening, home, or main screen, Anthony gave you the answer. In short, under SYSTEM PROPERTIES, rename your home panel to anything but home (try calling it open or Home) and make sure the "home panels are write protected" box is checked.

do you mean that you cannot access the rest of the screens (for instance a device screen) then here are some rules

1) Pronto will not show a button that has no action
2) Pronto will not show a panel that has no buttons showing
3) Pronto will not show a panel exists if there are no buttons showing

In other words the Pronto does not show things it considers useless.

Also

1) is the CCF writeprotectected (In PE look under system properties, Pronto system properties)? if yes then that explains why you cannot edit
2) Is the mode menu crossed out (setup second page on the remote)? If yes, then activate the mode menu you need it to get into edit/learn mode
