Hello,

this is the second time, it happend: i remove the battery pack (accu) from the Pronto 1Mb and after 5 min. i put it back, but the Pronot comes not back. When i put the pack into the Pronto or reset it, a slightly "knack" comes out and the hardkey backlight comes up shortly. I then put the batt.pack quickly several times out/in and then the Pronto comes up and the time is 0:00. Why happend this? Anyone else know this?

Why are you doing this?
"i remove the battery pack (accu) from the Pronto 1Mb and after 5 min. i put it back"

What do these terms mean?
"(accu)" "a slightly "knack" comes out"

I then put the batt.pack quickly several times out/in
You need to be very careful reseating Battery Packs, read the Docking Station link in the box below.

Sorry for the late answer:

please believe me, that i'm not crazy , I've my reasons to do this. The first time, i want only to reset the battery level meter, the second time, i must open the Pronto, because the serial connector was loosing contact.

I don't knwo, how i discribe the noise, it comes from the buzzer and made not "beep" but a shortly "knak".

And I've pulled the pack not really out of the Pronto, i put it in the Pronto and than, I pulled the pack from the contacts away and that in a "morse speed".

I've hoped, that i can avoid this longer explaination, because my english isen't really good, but yet, can anybody explain me that?

Cimba,

A partial answer, don't worry about the battery level meter, it's very unreliable. When the battery is low, the low battery indicator will come on, it IS accurate.

I don't know what the noise is. As for the light, you might have accidentally pressed the backlight button. Also when you install the battery it takes the Pronto a bit of time before it shows signs of life. Are you sure you were not to quick in thinking it was dead? Also the Pronto has a little bit of plastic meant to hold the batteries, did you make sure to remove it?
You can also try posting in German, there might be someone who can translate your statements and questions better

Yes, i removed the plastic battery holder and I'm sure, that i not pressed the backlight button. The hardkey lights goes always for a short moment on. And I wait the first time, I put the pack into, long enough.
