So tonite I went to see The Time Machine. When I arrived home the TV was on REALLY loud. My wonderful puppy had eaten my pronto.

The LCD constantly is sending IR codes, the case is all chewed and three of the buttons were ripped out. Should I contact Philips to see if they will repair it or just buy a new one? How much do they cost now?

Has anyone elses pet attacked their remote?

I was thinking about upgrading to the RTI T2 so I got macros & pc programing & hard buttons but the jury seems to be out on the RTI...

Thanks,

David

What is it with puppies and Prontos??? Somebody else's pup took a leak on his. Thankfully it got dried out and returned to normal.

You can of course call Philips and request repair/replacement. As far as what you tell them, let your concious be your guide. I doubt the remote is waranteed against pooches.

The movie was bad. The effects/puppets were awesome tho.

I am thinking that the pronto is toast. The LCD is ruined. and the buttons are all pulled all the way out of the case (no way to put them back in).

I had nice macros to do everything and let my HT get more complicated than it should be because I could compensate for it with the remote. I could buy new gear and never fear because the "watch a dvd" button always could be fixed to continue to work.

So I can get a replacement pronto (250 bucks or so) or try to find a RTI which seem to be in short supply...

Oh well.

If you are willing to go to that price there is always the Marantz RC9200 or Pronto Pro

Sedon,

If you used our leather case the puppy wont chew it. Customers report that only grown up puppies may attack a Pronto with leather case especially those who love sheeps and lambs...

Mick,
We have it all on sale now...
