Everytime I try to open an old CCF file I get a ProntoEdit.exe Application Error.
The operating system I'm using is Window 2000 with the latest version
of pronto edit V1.05 for the RU940 Pronto and Pronto.ini workshop running in te back ground

It sounds like it is not A CCF that is in V1.05 format. Probably a V2.0 CCF.
You don;t need to keep Pronto.ini workshop running in the background. It is just a once off to change settings.
