Just got my TSU2000 and I am overwhelmed. I did the easy part, set up the correct codes for my components but I haven't started to work on Macros, creating buttons, etc.
First problem, my Pioneer VSX-D608 receiver does not have buttons on the remote to go to DVD, SAT, etc. Instead you have to cycle through. That would require me to cycle trough rather than be able to use a macro. Much to my delight, I found that when I set up the codes for Pioneer, it gave me a Tuner, VCR, TV button and I could go straight to those inputs, but no DVD button and of course I can't make one and teach it since there is no button on the origianl remote that does that either. Any advice?
Secondly, where can I find info to teach me about all the ins and outs of the Pronto, I'm sure there is a page somewhere on remotecentral.com
Thanks
Mike

1) read the FAQ. It covers most stuff
2) here are some things to try for the DVD

- a) did you try CCFs in the file section?

- b) did you try the codes on this page? [Link: remotecentral.com]

- c) send command that is closest to DVD of (TV,VCR,Tuner) and then send input (as many times as needed) to change to DVD

Click on the links in the box below, in particular you will find : the FAQ, Reviews, Play With It, Phases, Planning and ALIAS.CCF helpful when just starting out.
Also, don't forget the Search Forum at the bottom of the Page. It may seem slow but it is VERY thourough and don't be mislead by the "0%" you will see on the first screen, it is only a progress marker.

Drizzle:

My CCFs contain discrete codes for all of the inputs on the VSX-D608. Download it and you can steal the IR codes from the Remotes section of the CCF.

Thanks,
Dale

Thanks for the prompt and helpful advice. I am not used to that on Internet forums. Most posters don't seem to read your message and respond with totally stupid post "did you make sure you put the batteries in the Pronto?". :)

Drizzle: we do that sometimes as well. But we usually try and help first.

"did you make sure you put the batteries in the
Pronto?"

Sometimes what seems like a stupid response might not be. Every so often you read "Pronto cannot learn". every time I read that the first question I post is "are you sure you have the Pronto in the right direction" some people get annoyed, others say OOps.
