I’m programming a TSU2000 with ProntoEdit V2.0 and the unbelievable resources of Remote Central. I can cut and paste IRs. I now see there is a bug in the emulator with unnamed actions; that I cannot name after cutting and pasting the IR (another bug). Does anybody have a work around that will allow me to cut and paste IR codes from available Component CCF files and still run the emulator?

As I understand it, the bug is in the emulator only, it still works fine on the remote. If you want the emulator to work, you can download PE 1.05 and name the codes in there.

Create a tiny CCF in 1.05, name the codes as you like, then merge it into your main CCF (using V2) and move buttons to where you want them.

You can also name the codes by decompiling to .CSF with the CCF Tools, adding the names in the .CSF file and recompiling to .CCF. I generally do all cutting & pasting in the .CSF file.

Thanks for the suggestions! I liked the idea of cutting & pasting someplace other than ProntoEdit and so started down the path of working with the compiler/decompiler. I quickly ran into its set of “quirks”. Some are identified here [Link: remotecentral.com] for others who may follow. In my case I cannot even recompile a CSF file I have NOT edited. So instead of opening another can of worms I will re-install ProntoEdit 1.05 to name my actions so I can run the emulator and hope these bugs get fixed in some future version.
