I think that's what it is called when a button works in all panels? Anyway I want to make the hard volume buttons on my 6000 work with the same device my A/V receiver. Is there a quick way to do this instead of aliasing to them for each device?

Also what is a separator why and how do I use it? Do I need it for anything? Will there ever be peace in the middle east?I hope you have your crystal ball polished. Yes I asked my emu but he wasn't talking :)

OK one more. I am having a hell of a time trying to rename some bitmaps. I have Paint Shop Pro. I have never used it before. Is there a quick and easy way to just delete the letters within an icon then add my own using the same font and color? I am using Dans color CCF BTW. Is there a database where he found these icons becuse I would like to add a few also but I have no clue where to find them. Thanks again for all your help. You guys have really taught this newbie a lot in a short time. I think that was more then one? Obrigado :)

Global buttons

Under the home section you got into system properties and you can set global values for the hard buttons. These can be overridden on a device by device basis.

The seperator just makes a logical divider between entries on the macro and device menu.

you cannot easily relabel bitmaps as the letters are part of the graphic.
Dan designed the graphics himself but you could attempt to hand edit them in a graphics program.

Hope some of this helps,
Bruce.

what you can do is 'steal' Letters and words from other Icons and make your own.

This could get time consuming. And I'm using photoshop.

ECHOSLOB,

If you're trying to edit Daniel's graphics that are the long kinda bullet shaped buttons - it's not too hard. Using PSP, select the letters using the selection tool in the left column. Then flood fill this selection to black. You can then select the appropriate letters from other graphics and cut (or copy) and paste them either as a new layer or new selection. You may have to increase the color count depending. You can replace graphics in this manner as well.

Hope this helps,

Jim L (another graphically challenged remote-a-holic)

Thanks Jim this is exactly what I was hoping for. I knew what I needed to do just not how to go about it. I am going to give it a shot now.
