Hi all

I think (someone please correct me if im wrong) ive found a new way to find discrete codes on some remotes.
I noticed that if i pressed the on/off button then my Wharfedale DVD 750 would turn itself on. I now pressed this button again but this time covering the remote so that the dvd player could not recive the signal. Now if i uncovered the remote and pressed the button once more the dvd would stay on - pressing it again would then turn the dvd off. It would seem that each time the on/off button was pressed it would issue the code for on then off etc for each press of the button. Knowing weather the remote was on the on or off press meant that i could learn these to my pronto! and....hey presto it works. I know have the discrete for power on and off. I then followed this procedure for all the other toggle buttons like tray open/close etc and again found the discretes.

I will post the whafredale discretes ccf on the site asap. Can people let me know if this works for any other products. Thanks.
