Someone was kind enough recently to enlighten me to the power of discrete codes. Very cool. Even if my original remote had only a single power toggle, I was able to use discrete power on and off codes in the Pronto.

Question: Is there a secret discrete code hidden within every remote? Can one divine the discrete code from the toggle code?

I own a Panasonic TU-HDS20 which doesn't seem to have a discrete power code which doesn't surprise since the original remote barely works (very weak signal).

Unfortunately either Discrete Codes exist . . . or they don't.
