Hi!

I've an infrared keyboard and I'm not able to teach to my Pronto "CTRL + P" and other similar command (CTRL + ALT + W).

May someone of you guys help me?

Thanks in advance!

Luciano.

Instead of leaning the command of "Ctrl + P" into the Pronto, you should just use alias. Go into ProntoEdit and alias the "Ctrl" and then the "P".

Andrew,

thank you very much for your reply!
But... I'm a newbie! What does "alias" mean?

Bye. Luciano.

Luciano:
try learning the CTRL command. If it learns it then it is sending something. If not then press the Ctrl button and while you are pressing it, press the button on the Pronto to start learning and then the P on the keyboard.

You will need to create an extra CTRL keyboard and ALT keyboard on the Pronto and a CTRL-ALT keyboard on the Pronto
...

Most IR keyboards simply change the command the "P" key sends when you hit any other key... it's not a combination of commands.

It all depends on the keyboard. My suggestion is to create a button on your remote, hit the learn key. Now face the keyboard in the opposite direction (so your remote doesn't learn from it). Hold down whatever key combination you want THEN turn it back to your learning remote. At that point, it will properly pick up the correct signal.

Lemme know if this works or not. Worked for me on something similar.

Oh MAN ! ! !

I'm sorry, Luciano. I just put my translation back through the same translator and got this:

"To fly off on the knitting in the box to the of under. If she needs of a program of translator, this feared:"

I laughed so hard I started crying!    +++

There's very little call for flying off the knitting, Every time I try that, my Pronto reboots.
