I'm trying to program my Pronto Pro and was wondering if it is possible to have "IF" statements and Variables. It would be very useful, but I can't find anything.

Has any anybody had any luck?

No such capability in the Pronto family.

But you could combine the Pronto with a home controller such as the Ocelot made by ADI. It makes for a pretty good combo.

Plus sometimes you can create a pseudo IF type structure by using different panels. This usually means creating a lot of alternate panels, but if you look at the games (in the file section), you can notice such type of programming.

Yeah, that's a good idea, but a ton of extra programming.

I've learned that I should have, maybe, purchased a marantz unit because of the way I like to set up my remotes. Via a kind of 'pop up' panel idea. That sure makes for some hefty panel making without the page history feature!

Thanks everyone, it looks like lots of panels is the answer. It is odd that this relatively simple facility isn't available, maybe Philips will add it some day.
