Hi,

I'm new to home theater/this forum so please excuse my basic question. I would like to purchase a prontoneo or TSU2000 - to my components. However, I have an apple rather than a windows-based PC - so I assume I would have difficulty from the computer standpoint working with the Pronto. Does the pronto learn other remotes well enough that I should not be worried about synching with a computer. Also, does anyone have a recommendation as to which version I should get.

Thanks in advance

You really do need a computer to use the full potential of the Pronto. There is so much that you just cant't directly on the remote.

You can work with a Mac, either:
- use a PC emulation package
- download Tonto which is an alternative to ProntoEdit (for a Pronto, not a Neo) but you must have OS X

as far as learning goes, we always recommend to use the remote. (Create buttons on PC, download to remote, learn, upload buttons with codes to PC)

How do I connect my Apple Titanium Powerbook to the Pronto Pro? I have a Belkin USB to serial adapter but it doesn't want to know! Thanks.
