Does anyone know the details of the 5-BNC mode workaround for the Sony VPH-D50Q? I have an older version that does not support direct access to the video memories (for aspect ratio, ect...) Someone told me that as long as all sources use a line doubler (mine do) you can set the projector to 5-BNC mode and save memories for each source as if you were using an external Sony switcher. I get the concept, and see how to activate 5-BNC mode, but I do not know how to save and recall the settings. Please advise. Thanks

I experience the same problem. I don't know about 5BNC or any other BNC for that matter but it really pisses me off when I need to change aspect ratios or make a selection for Video or S-Video as there are no discrete codes, just a toggle. Input A is fine (used for DVD). I just select input A in my macro. As for aspect ratio and input mode I have to have very extensive macros. eg to go up on the menu, I have to go up, up, up, up several times to make the damn thing respond. I have included up to 2 second delays in some cases and I am never guaranteed it will work. I also have a line doubler.
Sorry I am not much use to you in my response but if you do wish to memorise a setting simply hit the memory button on the remote. As for recalling a particular memory, I am not sure either.
