I am trying to get my Pronto to 'learn' the code to switch to DVD input on my Marantz AV9000.

It happily 'learns' all most all other commands and indicates an RC5 code for all inputs including the DVD but the DVD input will not operate. The type of RC5 code 'learnt' is entirely different for the DVD = RC5z 1605 (the format of other inputs seems to be RC2 nn 63 where nn differs dependent upon the input device).

The remote with the device (RC-18SR) will happily operate correctly but in 20 time of trying to 'learn' the command the pronto associates an RC5 code and will not change the input.

(I had a similar problem with the aux input but I found a button on another CCF, here, which I now use unfortunately there was no DVD input or any other key that would switch to DVD input.

Has anyone any ides as to how I could aquire a code that will work?

Download the SR-18 file in the files section. It has all the codes you would need.

By the way, DVD input code is RC5x 16 0 10.

I have the AV9000 also (what a great unit!) I had luck by quickly pressing the Source select buttons instead of just holding them down till the beep.

(Remember, you have to press the source button twice to emit the code on Marantz units.)
