I have a UK RC5000 1mb using RC5000 Setup to programme Sys V4.8 App V5.1 showing 5% free memory.
Downloaded and installed RCEdit V1.0.13
Now when I use either RC5000 Setup or RCEdit V1.0.13 I cannot save or download the ccf because I get an error message saying the file is 5% too big. I have not upgraded the firmware yet to the available option App 5.2 Sys V4.92
Question: Where has my free memory gone to Will upgrading the firmware solve the problem If I unistall RCEdit V1.0.13 will everything go back to how it was.

Clive, According to the review by Daniel on the RCEdit code, he listed this as a problem. You should only use RCEdit for the RC5200 or RC9200 until this issue is corrected. Don't know if the uninstall will resolve it, but there is no real advantage to using RCEdit for a 5000.

Pronto.ini Workshop will correct it.

Interesting that neither pronto.ini (a great program, thanks Daniel :-) ), nor manual registry changes, will correct the lower ccf memory capacity in the 5200. When the registry changes are made either way, it doesn't seem to affect the incorrect readings on the 5200. Prior posts indicated that this is because the changes revert back to the incorrect numbers, but I find that the registry changes do not revert, despite the incorrect readings continuing on the 5200 and on the emulator.
