Hello, I am new to programing and would like to receive IR codes for pioneer elite receiver VSX-79 and CD/LD player CLD-59. I tried using the learn buttons and my pronto ts1000 does not learn them. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

How old are those pieces?

Pioneer used to use high frequency codes for Elite products a while back, which the Pronto cannot learn.

Which may explain the 1000 not learning those codes.

Have you tried the files section though?

Hello, the units are about 4yr. and the receiver uses a GUI. I have gotten the CD/LD to work but I heard you need some code for the receiver. I've checked the file section and have not found anything as of yet. Thanks for your help,.

You may want to try one of the vsx-09 or 07 files. They were released at about the same time and should provide many of the same functions....
