My Pronto TS1000 got wet (cat did it!) Now all I have is a frozen touch screen. I tried resetting and reinstalling firmware. The unit needs looking at. Anyone know best way to contact Philips for repair info??

The Pronto is good at surviving getting wet. The best thing to do (depending on what happened) 1) take out battery (make sure it does not short anything out) 2) drop a few drops of warm water between the hard keys (get rid of sugars and stuff found in most beverages) and drain it out by placing remote face down. (so that the liquid will be falling away from the circuitry 3) give it time and let it dry 4) when enough time has passed (depends on many conditions, but definitely a few hours) put the battery back in and try it out.
Obviously the faster you do this the better the result. One of my Pronto's had some coffee, I have heard of some that had some wine and beer.

Here is a couple of old threads on the topic [Link: remotecentral.com][Link: remotecentral.com]I am sure you can find many more. But I cannot remember hearing of a case where the Pronto died from liquids

If you do send it in, here's a little bit of what to expect if it's out of warranty: $99.95 to fix it no matter the problem and it takes shipping time to California + repair time + shipping back. I sent mine in from Ohio on Nov 30th and got it back on Dec 17th, which its 5 days shipping in each direction so they turned it in like 2 days.
