Looking through some of the .ccf files on this site, I have noticed that you all get the buttons or icons to blend with the background. If I have a frame or something behind a button, there is always some blank white space that surronds the button from the "box" it is contained in. How do you guys get the background to show as soon as the button touches the background, and not the "frame" it is in.

Thanks

Export the button to a Paint program and add the background to it. Then just load it back into ProntoEdit.

Now Andrew . . . you're gonna have poor andybrehm looking for an EXPORT button.

andybrehm;

What Andrew said is "basically" right, but not quite so simplistic as he makes it sound. Click on the .BMPs & Galleries link in the Help Bar below.

Sorry about that. Giving him a link to my other post, I see.

Here are some better directions:

Go into the Properties Menu (Just double click on the button) of the button that you want to add a background to. Go into the “Icons” tab (Assuming you have ProntoEdit 2.0) and right click (with the mouse) and click “Save”. Now open the saved button in a Paint Program. Add the background and save the button. If it's a complicated background then it might be helpful to also save that as well. Then using the paint program combine the two bitmaps. Now go back into ProntoEdit and load in the image.

Thanks for the tip, I have version 1.05 so Ill get the new version now. The background that I am wanting to mix is somewhat complicated so I hope I can rough it. I would just like to take a extra minute to express my thanks for all the help I have been getting over the last few days. This has to have some of the most helpful people I have ever met on a board.

Thanks

Actually, If you have the TSU-1000, I would stay with ProntoEdit 1.5. ProntoEdit 2.0 has a couple of bugs and I personally find 1.5 easier to use. If you want, send me the button with the background and I'll add the background for you.

Yeah, I got on their site and saw that ver. 2.0 was for the TSU2000 only so I kept ver. 1.05. If you wouldnt mind helping me out that would be great. I am really trying to head into this stuff and it is a bit overwhelming to start off. After I get all the templates the way I want it, its off to the Macros, something I have no idea about ;)

Anyway, I will send you what I have, and if you can help, great, I really appreciate it. As you will see, all I have done is take the buttons from the frame that I want and made them all seperate from one another. All I need done is to shrink each individual button the same amount be able to put them back into a template all together as if in a frame. The main problem I see is just getting them to fit together by the buttons shape, and not the box the .bmp's are saved as. Hope that makes sense....... Ill try to see what I can do on my end as well.

Again, thanks for your help!

Andy if you want (complicated) background and buttons. I think the easiest way would be
1) make background and save it
2) in paint program add buttons to background (virtual panel)
3) save it
4) cut the buttons and save them as bitmaps (the best way of doing this depends on program)
5) load frame and button icons into your CCF
