Daniel,

Now that you've released your incredible CCF, a question or two.

I'm able to use about 95% of the graphics just the way they are, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who needs a few minor tweaks done to some of the text on the icons, and also to the graphics on your lights screen. My question is this - Would you consider posting photoshop (or whatever app you used) versions of these graphics with their layers intact, to allow easy editing of the text (such as your large horizontal device type icons, I'm looking for one that says Sega Dreamcast as opposed to Video Games, for example), or any icons that use graphical text, as well as an editable version of the lights room model graphic? I realize this stuff COULD be recreated carefully if I tried, but having the originals would make life a LOT easier.

Whatever your decision, thanks for the incredible CCF, it's truly an amazing achievement. Philips should buy your design and pay you lots of money.

My 2 cents... we should be the ones paying for the use of Daniels CCF since we are the ones who benefit from it. Daniel has spend hundreds of hours of his time creating the CCF but has handed it over to us for free so asking for free support on top of that is not right. If everyone chips in by making a donation using Paypal he'll return the favor. I've made my donation, how about the rest of you?

I made a small donation. I feel as if it were not enough, I am going to go contribute again.

My 2 cents; I believe anyone using this CCF should pay at least 50.00 if not 100.00 – 125.00, if you were to pay a graphic artist for this work, and it was for you alone, you would probably pay about $5,000.00, maybe a little less, little more.

Everyone is going to hate me for saying that, but it is how I feel. People should be fairly compensated for the work that they do. $50.00 is not much money at all, and when you take in to account the enjoyment that you will get for who knows how long in using this masterpiece, that you could not create on your own, well the $5.00 he asks for in the license agreement is just a joke.

I really hope that everyone that downloads the file will AT LEAST donate the $5.00, but anyone that can afford the ProntoPro to begin with can certainly pony up something reasonable for a commercial quality piece of work.

Copies of the graphics with the layers would be REAL helpful.

Additionally I need a custom screen.

Both of these I am perfectly happy to pay for.

On another note, now that I am using my Pronto, yes I actually waited for this CCF, I am finding it a little difficult to get used to, going from a soft button remote that you learn to use without even looking. Also button based remotes seem to be faster, you can rapid fire the buttons, the touch screen seems to need a little pause between presses.

Any advice from anyone on how to get used to this would be great, unless it is just one of those things that takes time, and no technique will help.

Hey, Bruce!

Idea, and of course Daniel needs to speak up here.

You sell a pretty good quantity of the ProntoPro, I imagine. Maybe you can work out a resell agreement with Daniel and you can UP sell your customers and say how would you like to purchase one of the leading CCF files with your unit to get you off to a good start, maybe like 25.00 or something?

I can tell you right off the bat that I would have purchased it. Now since they can get it for free here you would need to put together a CD, maybe with lots of channel icons, extra buttons, maybe a few CCF files.

Just an idea.
