What kind of help? Which remote do you have? How familiar are you with Pronto Edit are you?

I have the 4080. If you want the Pronto to learn codes, you;ve gotta switch the remote and receiver to IR mode. I believe they default to RF. If you need more help, let me know.

I have a pronto 890, 1 mg and the Kenwood remote transmits to it ( on Pronto edit ) but when used to give an instruction to either piece of equipment, does not function. I have used it with Sony, and Bell exprssvu with no problems, and I have tried downloading various codes from Kenwood, to no avail!!

DO NOT use ProntoEdit to learn Codes. Learn directly to the Pronto, then transfer to ProntoEdit, do your tweaking and then transfer back to the Pronto to test it.

Lots of problems with using ProntoEdit to learn ! ! !

Yep, seems like the right approach, I can switch the receiver, however I do not have the IR remote, can you supply the IR codes? for both the receiver and the DVD if possible.

thanks,

Rob
