It's like
"Cracking toast Grommit!"

From the Wallace and Grommit films.
Aardman animations.

Cheers,
Bruce.

Jeff: (I guess we finally found out what J stands for) any word combined with Daniel and CCF we all know what it must mean ;-)

But to me cracking and the Pronto don't go well together (if you get what I mean i.e. screen, not what Mango means.)

:)

Very true. I have not had that problem yet and I prey that I don't...

Aside from the Pronto 'not being seen' by my PC from time to time, actually about 30-50% of the time, when I want to download CCF updates to it I have not had any probelems.

LOL

Good one.

Mango, can you point me to the source for that meaning? I visited a Thesaurus and could not find anything that would relate to that. This has actually been bugging me :)>

Come on, JW, loosen up. This is obviously UK slang that you aren't going to find in a dictionary--like most slang. The meaning is pretty obvious from the context, which is more than I can say for most British slang. That's part of the fun of the internet. Check out Cockney rhyming slang somtime--talk about obscure!!

Interesting but strange. "Cyberspace" is slang? "Codger?" "Cop?"

Well, those of us on this side of the Pond NOW know not to comment on a shapely young lady's "fanny" if we're in England ! ! !

Could certainly cause a few problems, depending on who you make the comment to! Hopefully NOT to her 6'3", 280# (ALL MUSCLE) boyfriend ! ! !
