Hello all,

I'm a long time reader but first time poster here. I'm at the end of my rope with this so here it goes...

I've got a Sony SLV-N71 VCR and I am trying to use the discrete device codes from the discrete codes area. I have been able to get the codes for VTR3/VHS to work for both Video 1 and Video 2 but the Tuner code does not work. I have tried the VTR1 and VTR2 tuner codes as well thinking maybe they were misposted but with no luck. Anyone else have this problem and find a resolution?

The newer Sony VCRs don't support the "Tuner" command. I use a short macro to get to tuner:

1. "Line 2"
2. "Input"

This first puts the VCR in Line 2, then 1 input press will get to the tuner.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Mark. That did the trick perfectly. Seems obvious now that you pointed it out too. Thanks again!
