After exhausting the task of Defining Brands and acquiring via Learn mode I was able to set up all devices except one of the most important buttons on my Technics SA-G78 receiver, the +volume. I tried everything listed in the "Working with Remote Controls" section except programming through the pc. The -volume works great, however every attempt to program from the original remote fails every time. Any suggestions??

Volume controls have elongated codes and it may take a few attempts before the Pronto grabs it. You may need to point and hold the Technics remote towards the Pronto for some seconds until the Pronto blips.
Keep trying, Mike

I had this same problem with my Neo and my Sony DVD. It finaly took several tries before it accepted the code. Sometimes learning in a low light area helps and make sure there are no flourecent (sp) lights near by.

If you have a remote like the Cinema 7, program that remote for the Technics receiver and try teaching the Neo using the Cinema. I've found that this can help to a point. Try the Amp codes as well, as they also do the Vol up and down for the receiver..

Did you try all the codes(I think there is 4)that are built into the IR datebase of the Neo for Technics receivers?

I did try all the codes for Technics and even tried some others for grins & giggles. I don't have any other like the Cinema7. I did notice that others have used that gimmick. I will retry all 4 codes again. Dang it Jim!! What next???
