The ProntoPro sure does support color bitmaps.
That's what the Pro is all about! COLOR!

The answer to your first question (merge?) is a definite YES. You cannot, however, drag and drop. Each session of Pronto Edit is self-contained, with its own notepad.
Open the cosmetic CCF, strip it down to just what you want to use, and save it as "Stripped.CCF" or whatever. Be sure and rename the devices, so you can tell them from the ones from the other CCF.
Then you open your work CCF, select "merge", and voila! Your cosmetic CCF and your working one are merged. NOW you can drag and drop because both are in one session.
("Voila"!! How about that, Anthony? I'm bi-lingual.)

Joel, you can drag and drop in ProntoEdit. As long it is in the same instance of the program.
flyburch, you cannot drop a bitmap onto ProntoEdit. You have to go to the button/frame's properties, select icons, then open the bitmap you want from there.

Hmm...I did a reply about 2 hours ago, but apparently it didn't post.
Well, anyway, as I was saying...
Peter, it sounded to me like he was saying he was trying to drag and drop from outside the program to the edit screen. That's why I said what I did. I would hope, by now, I know you can drag and drop in Pronto Edit.
But what's the "emasculator" for?
