I don't have a remote yet but controlling the satelite reciever is probably the most important thing to me, and the biggest pain. The reciever does accept IR but the pronto won't be able to learn from the remote since it is UHF. So does the pronto have preprogrammed codes, or can I get them somewhere is what I'm getting to. Thanks.

Hammy,

I have an Echostar system as well with UHF capable remote. Altough it may sounds strange, the actual echostar remote does emit both UHF and IR. You can learn the IR signals of the echostar remote just by aiming it to the Pronto like any other IR learning remote.
