Hi all,

I am slightly concerned about my pronto as since first powering up it has made a high pitched buzzing whenever the light is on. Not especially loud, but annoying nontherless.

Is this normal or should I return it?

TIA

Sam

That link actually simplifies the answer a bit, the inverter is really converting the DC from the batteries to AC because all of these backlights need AC voltage to light. You will find that Palm pilots and pagers and anything with that "indiglo" type display will do that too, maybe not quite as loud though, the size makes the difference. Hope this helps a bit more.
