There is a ReadMe file in the install directory which details what has been fixed and what is still outstanding.

You can't upload configurations, or set learned codes in the editor.

At least, with NeoEdit, you can tell it which COM port you are using.

I DL'ed it and installed this ver. The readme.txt says they fixed the Device jumping problem that would lock up the Neo.

Well, it works fine on the Emulator, but once I DL my ncf to the Neo, it does the same thing and locks up!

I guess the people in Belgium where the remote is made don't work with the remote and software at the same time, must of thought that if it works on the emulator, it'll work on the remote..

I think Phillips needs to hire some new programmers
because this was a wastefull 22 meg DL to me! Fix the problems for once and for all, I think for 250 bucks, that the cost of this remote was also for the software for it!

Oh well..

Next time I'll wait to Dl it and see what others say

The funny thing is, it isn't that much different from ProntoEdit that I've DL'ed and once its installed it's only 11.5 megs and that's including the 2.5 meg help file.

Please, on my laptop with Win98 I had to DL the update MS installer! So I don't know what they all added in there, but I think it must be some pretty bloated code because ProntoEdit does more and it's less then 4.5 megs!

I am having the "invalid cf file..." error and was hoping this update would solve that. I have been talking to Philips via their help number 1-888-486-6272 and they have no idea these problems are happening, WE NEED TO ALL CALL and let them know so they can address these issues!

allamand, the installation put a lot of files into the System area, which is where the extra 11Mb went.

Does anyone know how the firmware is updated; I can't see that capability anywhere.

The upgrade is an insult. Philips should be ashamed.
